Phil C. Keller
Pastor Phil Keller began to see the Lord calling him to ministry as a teenager, but in 2003, amongst a few diagnoses of diseases, he sensed the Lord calling him to serve full-time. He earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Religion from Luther Rice University, and is currently pursuing a Master’s Degree in Global Ministry Design from Moody Bible Institute. He was a youth pastor for just over seven years before he became the pastor of Central Baptist Church in March of 2013. He is also the president of Central Baptist Academy and the middle school Bible teacher.
Pastor Phil married his wife, Jamie, in 1998. They have two daughters, Grace (2002) and Olivia (2004). Pastor Phil’s hobbies include hiking, eating his favorite food, pizza, and watching the disc golf pro tour on YouTube. Though he can be heard saying every song is his favorite song, his truly favorite hymn is “At Calvary.”
Brother Mark Spradling was called to ministry in 1977 at Grace Baptist Church in Middletown, OH. He earned his Master of Arts in Christian School Administration from Grace Theological Seminary, and his Doctor of Theology from Slidell Baptist Seminary. Mark married his wife, Loretta, in 1977. They have two adult daughters and three grandchildren. Mark’s hobbies include all things music and technology, and his favorite Bible verse is John 1:14.
Brother Greg Tabar has always felt the desire to help teenagers pursue a relationship with Christ, but it was in 2016 that he felt the guiding of the Holy Spirit to officially hang up his whistle from coaching high school sports and transition to becoming a youth pastor. He became the youth minister at Central Baptist Church in September of 2019. Greg has a Bachelor’s degree in Special Education from Mount Saint Joseph University, and currently teaches at Colerain High School where he also helps lead the Fellowship of Christian Athletes group. He has also been the chaplain of the Mount Saint Joseph University football team since 2009.
Greg married his high school sweetheart, Valerie, in 2014. They have four children, Leo (2013), Noah (2015), Eden (2017), and Sonny (2020). Greg’s hobbies include hiking with his wife, grilling hamburgers, riding bikes with his three sons, disc jockeying for his daughter’s private worship concerts every night, and partaking in the free samples at Sam’s Club. His favorite song is, “No Longer Slaves,” and his favorite Bible verse is James 1:22.
