General Information
School Hours:
School begins at 7:30 AM each day. Dismissal is at 2:30 PM. Students can be dropped off as early as 7:00 AM and stay until 3:00 PM under supervision. Our After-School Program is available from 3:00 PM to 5:30 PM. The charge for this service is $3.00 per hour.
Dress Code:
School uniforms are required for all students. Uniforms must be purchased through Educational Outfitters. For more information, please contact the school office.
Academic Tutoring:
Academic tutoring is available from teachers in grades 1 - 8. Remedial reading and math help is available in elementary grades if the teachers and parents find it necessary. Elementary tutoring is on most Tuesdays from 3:00 to 4:00 PM.
Immunization Records:
All new students must supply a copy of their immunization records. The current requirements for 2011-2011 Kindergarten students are as follows: DPT, 5 shots; Polio, 4 shots; MMR, 2 shots; Hepatitis B Series, 3 shots; Varicella, 2 shots. Please check with your child's doctor to make sure he/she is current on immunizations.
Illness Policy:
If you child is ill at home, please keep him/her at home. Your child may return to school only if fever-free (99 degrees or less) for 24 hours, has not been vomiting for 24 hours, and is generally feeling better. This rule also applies to those children who are sent home from school for illness. Please be prompt to pick up your child when he/she is ill at school. Also, please keep your contact numbers current with the office so we can reach you quickly.
Busing:
Central Baptist Academy does not provide transportation. However, some local school districts DO provide a yellow bus service to our school. Currently, we receive bus service from the following districts: Mt. Healthy, Winton Woods, Finneytown, and certain areas of Cincinnati Public. Please call your school district's transportation office for details.
Weather-Related Closings:
All major radio stations, television stations and their Internet sites are good sources for school closings. Many offer free text-message or email notification of school closings. We notify the stations by 5:20 AM if we plan to close for bad weather. Look for "Central Baptist Academy" or "Central Baptist Schools." Please check more than one station since some are faster than others at getting the word out. PLEASE DO NOT CALL THE SCHOOL TO ASK IF WE ARE CLOSED.
Lunch Prices
Lunches may be purchased for $3.55 per day or $16.75 per week. Drinks are included in lunches. Students may pack a lunch and purchase milk or apple juice only for 35 cents. Click here for our lunch menu.
Application and Testing:
All kindergarten students are given an entrance test before they start classes. Placement tests are adminstered to students entering kindergarten through 8th grades.The application and testing fee is $50.
Returning Students:
Returning students do not pay the $50 new-student application fee. That fee covers the initial application, interviewing and testing process for new students only. However, returning students must fill out an registration form each year. Please get your registration form in early to be sure that your child does not get closed out of a filled class. Questions? Tuition:
Grades K--8 $4,600 ($460 per month August through May)
Additional Charges:
Returned checks: $30
Tuition Late Fee: $25 (Tuition payment received after the 15th of the month.)
EdChoice Scholarship:

Achievement Tests
Achievement Tests are administered each year. Please do not schedule doctor or dentist appointments for your students that week. Please encourage them to eat breakfast, to get a good night's rest each night, and to avoid being absent during the week of testing.
